Using Framed Art Picture in the Living Room
There are many ways to incorporate framed art pictures into a living room design. A beautiful piece that captures the eye can serve as a focal point, with the room’s furnishings, accents and colors all working together to complement that piece.
Many home owners choose to design their living room around an art piece or a series of art pieces. This idea is basically about turning the wall art into the focal point of the room and designing the rest of the room around it to make the focal point more noticeable. If you decide to take this interior design route, it is wise to pick a print or a framed art picture that is bold and compelling. A piece with rich colors can certainly pick up a room. If you prefer a vintage fine art print, or a piece that advertises another era, it is a good idea to choose a more neutral color scheme for the room and then throw in some coordinating accents of the same colors as the dominating colors in the framed art picture to pull the whole look together. A landscape painting can provide interest but it can also be assimilated into the overall design scheme and theme.
Using a framed art picture as a living room focal point requires paying particular attention to size. A large framed print is much more noticeable than a small one. However, if you are interested in using a smaller framed print, it is good to find several other framed prints that will complement that piece and hang them in a series on a bare wall.
